Some DGS Families Facing Additional Hardships – 28 June 2024

Some families of students at Destiny Garden School are facing unprecedented hardships in Mombasa due to ongoing protests against the current government. For the past three days, families have been unable to earn a living or put food on the table because of the widespread demonstrations, especially around the city and Likoni Ferry areas where many seek work.

Incidents of robbery and theft are on the rise, with several gangs forming in the town centre. Some of our school management team cannot cross over to Likoni due to the current situation.

We will continue to update you on the situation and are supporting members of the school the best we can.
