Supporting Girls’ Education with Dignity
At Destiny Garden School, we believe that no girl should have to miss out on education because of her period. Thanks to the incredible generosity of the Moray community in Scotland, we’ve taken another step toward ensuring just that.
During a recent volunteer visit, trustee Debi Weir delivered a powerful contribution, over 100 pairs of period pants and around 400 reusable sanitary pads, to support our students in managing their periods with dignity and confidence. These essential items were either purchased or lovingly handmade by members of the Moray community, who went above and beyond by also creating waterproof pouches to allow the girls to discreetly change and carry used items.
Our School Director, Brenda, oversaw the thoughtful and respectful distribution of the supplies, ensuring they reached the girls who need them most.
We are deeply grateful for this act of solidarity, which not only supports girls’ health and hygiene but also empowers them to stay in school and thrive. This is community care in action. Thank you, Moray!
