Destiny Children held a spectacular “Bollywood” evening on Friday 6th March to raise much needed funds for Destiny Garden School in Mombasa, Kenya. Over 100 people enjoyed an evening of Indian food, music, entertainment and dancing at the Viceroy restaurant in Bollington, and raised enough funds to give all 420 children at the school a nutritious lunch every day next term.
Organiser Viki Lee said: “The Destiny Children Charity does such great work, helping to provide a better future for the children at Destiny Garden School by giving them a good education and the basic welfare they need to survive“.
Judy Roper, Founder of the Charity, commented: “We are grateful to everyone at the Viceroy Indian Restaurant in Bollington for their fabulous support and delicious food, as well as to all those who joined us to make the “Bollywood Night” such a success. We would also like to thank all our friends and supporters who donated raffle prizes to help the event raise so much”.
