Cake Sale raises funds for DGS – 8 December 2016
A sponsor and his work colleagues raised much needed funds for Destiny Garden School from a cake sale this week – over £575. This was to help the current shortfall the charity is facing in meeting the running costs of the School due to the drop in the exchange rate following the UK referendum to leave the EU. These funds will be enough to continue providing a nutritious lunch for 16 days for all 420 children at DGS. The staff from Allies and Morrison Architects achieved this with a fantastic array of cakes and biscuits for sale – about 25 people made them and over a hundred people bought and tucked into the tasty treats !
