Grade 9 Learners Get Creative with Charcoal Baking

This week, the Grade 9 students at Destiny Garden School enjoyed an exciting hands-on lesson, learning how to bake a cake using a charcoal jiko.

 

 

The learners collaborated closely, practicing skills such as measuring ingredients, managing the heat, and cooking over charcoal, discovering a fun and practical way to create delicious treats.

 

The excitement continued as the class celebrated their teacher’s birthday, with him cutting the cake for everyone to enjoy!

 

 

Beyond the delicious results, the activity taught students valuable life skills, encouraged teamwork, and allowed them to experiment, laugh, and learn together.
