About The School

Destiny Garden School is a charity school situated in Mtongwe, one of the poorest suburbs of Mombasa. Many of the children at Destiny Garden School are orphans and some are HIV positive. Families of the children struggle to find regular work in an area where jobs are scarce.

The school opened in May 2009 and now has  over 350 children ranging from 3 to 15 years old. These children are being given the opportunity to escape poverty though the good education they receive from Destiny Garden School.

The School focuses on supporting the most vulnerable children. Its work is especially important since there is an increasing number of orphans, disadvantaged and underprivileged children in this area. These vulnerable children need to be provided with the basics to survive, including food, clothing, education and access to proper heath care.
